I chose to become a family nurse practitioner to help bridge the gap between research and patient care. My goal is to provide thorough explanations and education so that patients not only understand what is happening with their health, but also feel empowered to be active participants in their treatment decisions. I strive to build lasting relationships with my patients and strongly believe in the power of shared decision-making to optimize wellness. While I greatly enjoy caring for patients of all ages and backgrounds, I am especially passionate about women's health, perimenopausal health, safe sex practices, and HIV prevention. I consider myself a homebody and currently live in Cary, just a few houses down the street from where I grew up. I cherish spending time at home and outdoors with my husband and our four sons. When I'm not managing the chaos of four young boys, I enjoy running, rock climbing, knitting, watching Marvel movies, reading, and, of course, eating chocolate.
