Geetika has been part of The Goddard School® community for over six years as the on-site owner of the Cary Lochmere location. As a mother of two, she knows how important it is for families to feel confident that their children are safe, happy, and thriving. With a background in biology and training in effective teaching, she has a deep appreciation for how children grow and learn best through hands-on exploration and play. Geetika is known for her warm, welcoming presence and for making every family feel like part of the school community. She loves celebrating children's and teacher's milestones, organizing special events, and partnering with parents to create meaningful school experiences. In 2024, the school became an early adopter of The Wonder of Learning™ curriculum, providing children an inquiry-based approach that encourages curiosity and discovery. Ms. Sheetal is the proud owner of The Goddard School of Cary – Lochmere and has been part of the Cary community since 2010. As a mom of two boys who attended preschool from infancy, she understands how important it is for families to feel their children are safe, nurtured, and inspired to learn. She loves getting to know families and working alongside teachers to create a joyful, engaging school environment. In 2024, the school became one of the early adopters of The Wonder of Learning™ curriculum, giving children an inquiry-based approach that sparks curiosity and a love for discovery. The school is proud to have consistently received high parent satisfaction ratings, reflecting the strong sense of care and community that families experience. With an MBA and over 15 years of experience in Information Technology, she brings a thoughtful balance of business knowledge and a passion for early childhood education.
Ms. Rebecca is our dynamic Center Director. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from Bennett College in Greensboro, NC with over 30 years of experience in the Early Childhood Education field and is Admin Level 3 certified! She has worked for Goddard Schools for a collective experience of 5 and half years and joined our school when she moved back to Apex, NC. She loves working with children and their families. She enjoys watching them grow and develop, learning new things and the joy it brings to the parents when a new task has been achieved. In her free time she enjoys watching sporting events with her family and shopping especially at home stores! Our seasonal front lobby decorations are creative gems all thanks to her!
Deedra is our Curriculum Specialist and started with the Goddard School in May of 2024. She has over 20 years of experience in Early Childhood and has worked with all age groups. She has a strong passion for helping all children grow and reach their full potential all while having fun. In her spare time she loves to travel, shop, and go to church.
Sarah is our Assistant Director/Program Specialist. She started at the Goddard School in August 2025. She has an Associate's Degree in Early Childhood and Administration. She's been in the field since 2015 and loves to see the children's personalities blossom as they grow. One of her favorite parts about Early Childhood is the connections she gets to make with the children and parents. She is a mom of two and loves to spend time with them and her husband at the beach or attending UNC football games. Favorite Children's Book: "Love you Forever" by Robert Munsch. Ms. Amanda is a Lead Teacher in the Inventors Prekindergarten classroom. She has the unique benefit of being the first teacher at our school when we opened in April 2019! She comes to us with over 12 years of experience in early childhood education including special education. She has a Masters Degree in Education and Curriculum, a Bachelors in History and certifications in regular and special elementary education. She loves teaching and helping young minds grow through learning. Seeing their smiles, hearing their laughter and listening to their stories of experiences of what they have done always brings a smile to her face. Her favorite children’s book is “Sweet smells of Christmas” because it reminds her of her grandmother and her sweet gentle smile. She loves to cook and bake and brings both into her classroom as part of her natural learning process!
Ashley started at the Goddard School in December of 2022 and is currently our young toddler lead teacher. She has her bachelors degree in educational studies from Campbell University. Ashley has over five years of experience working with toddlers from age 12-24 months. She loves watching children hit their developmental milestones. In her free time, Ashley loves to travel, explore new places, and hopes to visit every state in the US! Favorite Children's Book: "Winnie the Pooh" by A.A. Milne. Ashley started at the Goddard School in June of 2025. She has a Bachelors Degree in Psychology from St. Augustine's College and has worked in childcare for the past 5 years. Ashley decided to go into childcare because she is a mother of two and loves to teach and nurture children. In her free time, Ashley loves to eat, sleep and spend time with her daughter and son. Christina started at the Goddard School in August 2023 and is currently our lead teacher in Preschool 2 . She attended college at Wake Technical Community College where she received her Associate degree. Christina has worked in early childhood education for over 18 years and has experience with every age group! She chose to work in childcare because she wants to be part of children's learning experiences. In her free time, Christina likes to go shopping, watch movies and do crossword puzzles. Ms. Daysha is a co-lead teacher in the Preschool 2 classroom. She started with Goddard in September 2025.She has an Associates degree in Early Childhood Education and 15 years of experience. She has a passion for teaching young children and brings a bubbly personality to the job. She loves to go on walks and to the gym in her free time. Jazmine started at the Goddard School in August of 2024 and is currently our Preschool 1 lead teacher. She has her associates degree in early childhood education from Wake Tech Community College and is currently pursuing her bachelors in early childhood education from NCCU. Jazmine has been working in childcare for 5 years now and teaching is her passion! She feels that working with children keeps her energetic and she can look at things with a child-like wonder. In her free time, Jazmine likes to shop, spend time with her family and friends and sleep! Favorite Children's Book: "If you Give a Mouse a Cookie" by Laura Numeroff. Lana started working at the Goddard School in June of 2020. She has 30 years of experience in early childhood education, specifically Pre-K. She has experience working with children from infants to high school, including some time in a special education inclusive classroom. Lana worked for Wake County Public Schools grades K-2 for six years, has been a substitute teacher and she spent time at the Governor Morehead School learning to translate Braille for the visually impaired students in WCPSS! Lana entered the field of early childhood education because she has a passion for teaching children and partnering with their families to give them the best foundation and experience with learning. Mary started working at the Goddard School in June of 2023. She has 37 years of experience in the field of early childhood education. Mary has a bachelor's degree in Psychology with a minor in Elementary Education. She also has a Level II Early Childhood Certification. Mary enjoys volunteering and is always involved in her church's Back to School giveaway each year. Megan started at the Goddard school at the beginning of 2020 and is currently our get set lead teacher! She has her North Carolina Early Childhood Credential from Stanly Community College and has been working in childcare for over eight years. Megan loves being in the classroom and teaching is her passion. She loves watching the children explore the world and learn something new everyday! In her free time, Megan loves to read books, knit, crochet, go hiking and spend time with her family! Favorite Children's Book: "Little Blue Truck" by Alice Schertle. Ms. Megan is our Lead Teacher in the Inventors Pre-Kindergarten classroom. She has a degree in Associates of Arts and will be graduating from Fayetteville State University with a Bachelors in Birth through Kindergarten in Fall 2022. She comes with several years of previous Goddard experience and appreciates the values and standards that Goddard places on development of the individual child. She is passionate about seeing children fulfill their potential by establishing a positive learning environment, quality education and a safe place that allows them the freedom to be themselves. In her spare time, she loves spending time with her own two children and playing guitar!
Paula started in the infant room at the Goddard School in June 2024. She has over 20 years experience working in childcare and has raised 3 of her own children. Paula began her career as a "More at Four" program teacher and then made her way to working with infants and toddlers. She chose childcare because she thinks working with children is such a joy and she loves to be part of the foundational skills building that comes in the early years. Paula loves watching the children grow and creating a bond with them that could last forever. In her free time, Paula enjoys spending time with her friends, family and pets. Miss Simone our Lead Teacher in the Pioneers Preschool 1 classroom. She started with us as a Resource teacher working part time as she worked on completing her Associates degree graduating in June, 2020 and is currently working on her Bachelors degree. During her time at Goddard Lochmere she has worked in Infants, Young Toddlers and now in Preschool classrooms. She is always looking in giving the children in her classroom a merry time. She enjoys spending time with her family and two dogs, loves to travel when she has free time. She is looking forward to the fun her little friends will have exploring and learning!
Anahia started at the Goddard School in May 2023 and is currently our young toddler assistant teacher. She graduated Southeast Raleigh Magnet High School in 2020. Anahia loves working with children and has been helping her grandmother babysit since she was 10 years old! In her free she like to lay back with her feet up watching movies and TV shows. Anahia also likes to go shopping, go out to eat and help her grandmother out around the house! Favorite Children's Book: The Junie B. Jones Book Series by Barbara Park. Kayla started at the Goddard School in August of 2024 and is currently our older toddlers assistant teacher. She graduated High School in 2019 and is currently in school at Wake Tech studying business in hopes to one day open her own childcare center! In her free time, Kayla likes to go shopping, do her school work, catch up on sleep and spend time with her friends and family! Pawaii started at the Goddard School in February of 2025 and is currently our Infants assistant teacher. She is currently a student at Wake Tech Community College and has been working in childcare for about 2 years now. Pawaii has experience working with every early childhood age group. She choose to go into childcare because she loves working with children and enjoys helping them learn and grow. She loves to be able to help make a positive impact on the lives of children. Rylie started working full time at the Goddard School in the April of 2024 but has spent summers and breaks with us as she attended college. She just graduated from Appalachian State University with a Bachelors in Psychology. Rylie loves working with children because she's always had an interest in child development and loves working with them everyday! Aide started at the Goddard School in March of 2023. She is currently working towards her CDA and has certificates in first aid, CPR, and sleep safe. Aide has worked in a childcare setting for four years but has 20 years of experience between raising her own children and helping with childcare for family and friends. Aide loves working with children to see their wonderment while watching them learn and grow! In her free time she likes to spend time with her family, go to the farmers market, the night market and pop-up shops! Favorite Children's Book: "The Giving Tree" Shel Silverstein. Angel started at the Goddard School in November of 2023. She chose to go into childcare because she wanted to find a school to work at with her new baby! Angel treasures all relationships she's built with the children and their families since she's started here. She loves helping all the children learn and reach various milestones. Kyara started at the Goddard School in April of 2025. She has a high school diploma and is continuing her education by taking college courses at JMU. She chose to go into childcare because her preschool memories have always been her fondest and wanted to return to work with children to be a part of their lifelong memories! Maniya started at the Goddard School in March of 2025. She chose to go into childcare because she loves being around kids. Maniya says that working with children brings her so much happiness and they make her laugh on her saddest days. In her free time, Maniya loves to draw, watch YouTube and play games with her baby sister. Monye started at the Goddard School in February of 2025. She has been working in childcare for a year and a half and is currently enrolled in college to become a Neurodiagnostic Technician. She chose to go into childcare because she loves the thrill and joy she feels after being with the kids all day! Monye says that it is a great feeling to make children smile everyday and know that they feel comfortable in her presence. In her free time, Monye loves to do puzzles with her friends, sleep, draw and play with her sisters.
